The booming 20-year-old vocal powerhouse from Westlake, La., was revealed Thursday to have received the fewest viewer votes on the Fox talent contest, leaving bluesy 21-year-old crooner Phillip Phillips of Leesburg, Ga., and sassy 16-year-old budding diva Jessica Sanchez of San Diego to compete for the show’s record deal grand prize on next week’s finale.

“I just feel that we’re all winners at this point,” Ledet said before his eviction. “If I end up not making it and my friends make it, I’ll be voting for both of them.”

Ledet had been one of the judges’ favourite finalists, earning more than a dozen standing ovations from the panel for his renditions of such songs as James Brown’s “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World” and Bruno Mars’ “Runaway Baby.” However, the gospel singer wasn’t able to win over enough voters. He twice appeared as a low vote getter before Thursday’s dismissal.

“Idol” host Ryan Seacrest said 90 million viewer votes were cast this week.

Phillips and Sanchez, who sometimes performs as her alter ego “Bebe Chez,” will face off Tuesday, with the 11th season “Idol” champion crowned on Wednesday. Phillips has never found himself at the bottom of the voting spectrum, while Sanchez was due to be eliminated during the finals’ sixth round, but the judges used their one-time-only power to rescue her from elimination.

The singer took home two honors at the Ivor Novello Awards, a British songwriting-centric ceremony that dubbed her songwriter of the year. During her acceptance speech, Adele credited tough reviews of her debut album, “19″ with inspiring a stronger effort on “21.”

Members of a group called Biblemode Youth Philippines said that they are offended by Lady Gaga’s music and videos, in particular her song “Judas,” which they say mocks Jesus Christ.

The news grew on Twitter buzz, until 50 Cent confirmed it himself.

 “She’s always been supportive,” Paul said of his former frontwoman. “Even while I was singing, I would tell her, ‘I want to go solo,’ and she was like, ‘What are you waiting on?’ and I would tell her, ‘I’m waiting on God to fix things out,’ and she was like, ‘Maybe God is waiting on you.’”

Paul wants Keys to appear on his upcoming debut. “We’ve been working on a song for a while now,” Paul said. “And, you know, what better time than now?” True that!

Paul also gushed about his coach and pal Blake Shelton. “He’s a good guy, he’s a man’s man, he’s a what-you-see-is-what-you-get type of guy, and that’s the kind of guy I try to be,” Paul said. “That was ultimately one of the main reasons I chose him as my coach,” he admitted. “I just felt his sincerity, the realness. He jokes around a lot, you know? When he walks in the room, he definitely has a way of lighting up the air.” He sure does — just ask his bromance partner, Adam Levine!

Paul credits Shelton with keeping him sane after his win. “I was going through a whole emotional, mental shock, and I even physically thought my legs weren’t under me, I had my hands on my head,” Paul gushed. “I had this crazy tingling sensations like going through my head — it’s a feeling I can’t even explain — and he brought me back to reality and grabbed me and was like, ‘You did it, man! It’s you!’ It was an amazing feeling.”

The singer/dancer has long been rumored to be signed to West, but the gossip became reality with a joint announcement from Island Def Jam/ G.O.O.D. Music.

The 21-year old Harlem native Teyana Taylor started her career as an artist under the Neptunes’ Startrak/Interscope label and the union yielded one album From A Planet Called Harlem in 2008.

Since her debut release she has worked as a performer/song writer with the likes of Chris Brown, Kanye West, Willow Smith, Cam’Ron, Jim Jones and others.

Taylor has had a number of acting and modeling gigs as well.

He was appointed  alongside music veterans like Prof. (Sir) Victor Uwaifo MON,Dr. Dan Maraya Jos MON, Ms. Onyeka Onwenu MFR, Mr. Laolu Akins, Mr. Sunny Neji, Mr. Toju Ejueyitchie, Dr. Ben Ofoeze, Mr. Ossy Affason and Mr. Dayo Ogunyemi, who are also members of the board.

COSON says the members of the newly introduced board were selected based on their special skills and experience as they will serve as an important think tank for the parent body.

Rogers broke the news Wednesday night during his first of two sold-out performances at Ford Theater in Nashville as the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s 2012 Artist-in-Residence. His next album is being produced by Dann Huff and is scheduled for release later this year.

In March, Rogers joined Lionel Richie onstage at Billboard’s showcase at South by Southwest. The two duet on Rogers’ “Lady” on Richie’s latest LP, “Tuskeegee.”

The singer, whose catalogue on Warner Bros./Reprise Records includes multiple albums and singles recorded over several decades. His first hit (as a member of the First Edition) was actually on the label: 1967′s psychedelic “Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In),” which enjoyed a revival when it was featured in the Coen Brothers’ cult hit “The Big Lebowski.”

Jones’ album, led by the single ‘Happy Pills,’ sold more than 110,000 units last week, trailing behind the latest album by country superstar Carrie Underwood. ‘Now 42,’ the latest compilation in the long-running series, comes in at No. 3, while Adele‘s ’21′ holds strong at No. 4.

The No. 5 entry for ‘Strange Clouds’ is lower than B.o.B’s debut album, ‘The Adventures of Bobby Ray,’ which reached No. 1. ‘Strange Clouds’ sold 84,000 copies, just 8,000 fewer than ‘Bobby Ray’ did when it first charted in 2010. B.o.B’s new release has already produced three hits — the title track, ‘So Good,’ and the Taylor Swift-assisted ‘Both of Us.’

Lionel Richie, Jack White and One Direction remain lodged in the Top 10. The ‘Smash‘ soundtrack featuring music from the Broadway-themed show also enters in the Top 10.

The other big news on the chart this week is the rise of music from the Beastie Boys after the death of Adam Yauch. The Beasties’ 1986 classic ‘Licensed to Ill’ re-enters the chart at No. 18, while ‘Solid Gold Hits’ holds No. 51 and ‘Paul’s Boutique’ takes No. 56. The group’s total sales jumped from 14,000 to 151,000 this week.
