Goldie the beautiful songstress died exactly 4years ago on a valentines day. Susan Oluwabimpe “Goldie” Filani Harvey (23 October 1983 – 14 February 2013) was a Nigerian professional singer and a Big Brother Africa star.

One of Nigeria’s sexiest musicians, Goldie Harvey died on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2013.

The singer had just returned from attending the 55th Grammy Awards, which took place on February 10, 2013, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles when she suddenly slumped and died.

An autopsy released after Susan Oluwabimpe Filani’s death revealed that the singer suffered from deep vein thrombosis, resulting from pulmonary embolism — a sudden blockage of the lung artery, which was said to have occurred as a result of the long 12-hour flight from the United States to Lagos.

She’s survived by her family and husband, Andrew Harvey who later exchanged vows with his Malaysia-based lover, named Beth Buenaventura.

Four years on and her legacy is yet to be forgotten in the Nigerian music industry.

Before Goldie’s death, she’s been profiled to rival with the likes of Tiwa Savage, Omawumi, Waje and Mo’Cheddah, before the breakthrough of Yemi Alade.
